تم تطويرها لتعطي رد فعل لأي فعل يُحدثه الأشخاص معها، ولإدراك العالم المحيط بها والتفاعل معه أيضاً.
ميزة: الموثوقية؛ كونها تتفاعل مع الأحداث بنفس الطريقة في كل مرة.
يمكنها أداء واجبات محددة ومتخصصة فقط. إذ إن عدم احتوائها على ذاكرة مدمجة، يجعلها غير قادرة على تخزين أي خبرات سابقة.
من أمثلتها: Deep Blue التي قامت شركة IBM بتطويرها في التسعينيات، كآلة تفاعلية تعلمت كيفية التغلب على خبير الشطرنج في لعبته.

آلة، تفكر! نعم، فقد تم تصميم هذه الآلات بحيث يمكنها أن تفكر في القرارات المحتملة من خلال النظر في ذاكرتها، بحثاً عن أدلة حول ما يجب القيام به بعد ذلك.
للتوضيح، تم تطوير الآلات التفاعلية السابقة بإضافة ميزة الذاكرة المحدودة، لتتمكن من تخزين البيانات وإجراء التنبؤات والتفاعل مع المحيط.

قُدِّر في عام 2021 حجم سوق الذكاء الاصطناعي العالمي بـ 93.5 مليار دولار أمريكي. مقابل 136.6 مليار دولار لعام 2022. ومن المتوقع أن تصل الإيرادات بحلول عام 2030 إلى ما يقارب 1811.8 مليار دولار أمريكي.
